Wild Oaks was the vision of the late Joe Hassler in the 1960's. He designed the course which opened for business in 1972. The course was owned and operated successfully by Hassler until the early 1990's. Wild Oaks has been owned and managed by several companies in the last decade and was closed from 2004-2007 as previous owners contemplated a housing development on the property.
Stephen Hassler, Anthony Hassler, Steven Oroho, John Oliveira and Mary Ann McGlinchey formed RAMS Golf LLC and purchased the property in 2007. The former owner's two sons and other partners began the process of bringing this great course back to Joe's dream. By fall of 2007, Wild Oaks was back open for business.
Wild Oaks was named after four original Oak trees that stood on the course when it was built. The one remaining tall oak tree(right) that sits to the right side of the second fairway on the White course at Wild Oaks is roughly 450 years old. It's the last of four oak trees that characterized the course when it was first built.
Today, the operation is open under the management of Tony Hassler. The course improvements include all new bent grass greens, new Yamaha golf carts, opening of a Pro Shop and Joe's Bar & Grill. Our outdoor patio view is one of the best!
The owners & employees are working hard to get in touch with and bring back the many loyal Wild Oak's players. We appreciate all the support and encouragement we have received from all who have visited our course. The customer feedback has been very positive, many reflecting on the times they played at Wild Oaks in the past with their friends. They can't wait to "return with their buddies" to play Wild Oaks.
Joe's Bar and Grill is open for business during the season. Our bar and grill is dedicated to the memory of our founder, Joe Hassler. Joe's Bar and Grill is open to the public. No membership required.
We look forward to seeing you!
